The Pleasant Lake Protective Association (PLPA) represents a vital community resource dedicated to preserving the water quality and environment of Pleasant Lake. As a local nonprofit organization, they serve the entire community.
The Challenge
PLPA was using a WordPress 6 instance that felt sluggish, was difficult for non-technical administrators to maintain, and lacked the speed and security of modern web platforms. Crucially, they needed a friction-free way to present their regular newsletters without manual file uploading, plus a clear, trustworthy donation flow.
Our Solution
- WordPress to Static Migration: We ported all pages, blog posts, and resources over to a static build setup via our website redesigns & migrations offering, resulting in instantaneous page loads and zero security vulnerabilities.
- Automated Newsletter Pipeline: Created a system that automatically fetches, parses, and archives their email newsletters to display them directly on the site, saving the board hours of manual entry.
- Rebuilt Donation Experience: Reorganized the site content to put donations and membership front-and-center, utilizing a clean, distraction-free modern form.
- Mobile-First Layout: Replaced the non-responsive template with a highly polished design optimized for lake residents on their smartphones.
